The radio in the 1957 Chevrolet Corvette is located in the central dash on the vehicle, secured by a plastic dashboard trim and four holding screws. Once those are removed, the radio can easily be pulled out to reveal the wiring connector at the rear of the unit. Easily wire the Corvette's radio by plugging the wiring connector into the radio itself. It should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.
Instructions
- 1
Lift up the Corvette's hood and manually disconnect the negative terminal of the battery using a socket wrench.
2Pry out all of the clips from the central dash trim around the radio with a flat-head screwdriver. Remove the trim from the radio.
3Remove each of the four corner screws from the radio with a cross-head screwdriver.
4Pull the radio out and plug its wiring connector into the rear of the radio unit.
5Place the radio back into the Corvette and reattach its four corner screws. Reattach the Corvette's dash trim and connect the negative terminal to the Corvette's battery.
