Note the proper routing and direction of the accessory drive belts. Loosen the bolts on the accessories the belts are driving using a socket and ratchet. Push each accessory to the side on its pivot point and remove the belt from each one.

Remove the bolts, nuts and lock washers from the timing cover using a socket and ratchet. Remove the timing pointer and timing cover gasket from the engine block.

Clean any remaining gasket material from the block using the scraper. Remove the oil seal from the crankshaft using a screwdriver to assist you.
