The dash lights on your Ford F-250 are a part of the truck's instrument cluster and serve two purposes: two illuminate the gauges on the instrument cluster and to serve as a warning light when your truck needs maintenance. The wiring connector of the dash lights is located at the rear of the instrument cluster itself. In order to access the wiring connector, you will need to remove some of the dash trim to remove the instrument cluster.
Instructions
- 1
Lift up the truck's hood and disconnect its negative battery cable using a socket wrench.
2Uninstall the two screws from above the instrument cluster below the upper dash trim with a Phillips-head screwdriver, and remove the trim.
3Remove the four screws from the F-250's instrument cluster with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Pull the instrument cluster out toward you.
4Reach behind the F-250's instrument cluster and plug the electrical wiring connector into the rear of the cluster. Place the instrument cluster back into its initial position and reattach its screws.
5Reattach the dash trim and its screws. Reconnect the F-250's battery cable and close the hood.
