Ford offered the power window option in the 2001 Ranger. The window control system receives power through the window safety relay when the ignition key is in the "Run" or "Accessory" position. The left-side master power window switch can control operation for both front windows, while the right-hand power window switch controls the right side front window only. Power is delivered to the window motor through the window safety relay, causing the motors to rotate to either raise or lower the window. If the window motor fails, replace it to restore the function of the power window system.
