Finally, the wait is over folks ! Facebook has finally announced video calling, in partnership with Skype. Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook announced the video chat feature at an event in Palo Alto. Video calling was much awaited on Facebook and was in the news in the passed weeks. This feature is really awesome, because now you can make video calls to your friends on Facebook, with the video chat feature with the press of a button. In-addition to video calling you can also notice that the there is a new design for chat, and improved group chat feature.

The new chat design has a button for video calling which is visible on every chat window, additionally the video call button has also been integrated into every profile page, so you can simply click the call button to initiate a video call with the person whose profile you are viewing.

Sadly, the video call feature currently only supports one-to-one video calls. Though the video calling feature is powered by Skype you don't need to have an account with them to enable the feature.

To setup video calling and use it, you must have Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer or Safari. Opera is currently not supported.

Video calling is currently not supported by Linux, you have to use Windows or Mac operating systems for video calling to work.
